How to Season Pork Chops

Cooking a juicy, flavorful pork chop doesn't need to be difficult. Here are some simple steps to get the most out of your pork chops:

  • Sprinkle the pork chops with a generous amount of salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat an oven to 375F. Spread a teaspoon of butter or oil into the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Lay the pork chops in the baking dish. Add your seasonings. Adding a teaspoon of veggie or olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, and oregano can give your pork chops a zesty flair.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil, and bake for 15-25 minutes. When baking time is up, see if you can easily insert a fork into the pork. If it’s not ready, let it bake for a few more minutes. Be careful not to overcook your pork chops.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes after baking. This will allow the juices to recirculate back into the pork, giving it an even more juicy flavor.
