How to Season Tofu

Tofu is a high-protein, low-calorie food that makes an excellent and versatile addition to a balanced diet. If you’re looking for ways to season tofu, you've come to the right place! With minimal effort and simple ingredients, you can turn a bland block of tofu into a delicious treat. Here are some easy ways to give your tofu a flavor boost:

  • Marinating – Combine your favorite marinade or dressing with the tofu. Place it in a covered dish or bag and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour, shaking or stirring occasionally. The longer it sits, the more flavorful it will become.
  • Roasting – Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tofu into cubes, chunks, or slices, and spread them on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, sprinkle with seasonings, and bake for 15–20 minutes. Flip the tofu halfway through for an even roast.
  • Sautéing – Heat a thin layer of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Slice or cube the tofu and add it to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until it's lightly browned and crispy. Add a sprinkle of herbs or spices, and enjoy!

By using these simple methods, you'll soon be enjoying delicious, flavorful tofu any day of the week!
