How to Remove Ink from Soda Cans
Ink stains on soda cans can be particularly vexing due to their convenience and the difficulty of removing them. Fortunately, there are a few simple and cost-effective methods that can help you remove ink from soda cans without the need for harsh chemicals.
Steps:
- Place the soda can in the freezer. Put the soda can in the freezer for 2-3 hours or until the ink stain is frozen solid. The cold temperature will cause the ink stain to harden, making it easier to remove.
- Take an old toothbrush and gently scrub the ink stain off the can. Use light pressure, so that you don’t damage the can’s surface.
- Wash the can with warm, soapy water. Rinse it off thoroughly and dry before using.
- Try an alcohol solution if the toothbrush method doesn't work. Dab the ink stain with rubbing alcohol and scrub gently with a cotton ball. Wash the area with warm, soapy water and dry.
- Use a paste of baking soda and toothpaste. Make a paste with a few tablespoons of baking soda and a small amount of toothpaste and work it into the stain. Scrub it with the toothbrush and wash off with warm, soapy water before drying.
