Removing an Ink Stain from a Dryer Drum

Ink stains are one of the most challenging things to remove from a dryer drum. Fortunately, a few different methods can be used to effectively remove stubborn ink stains.

  • Wet a cloth with warm, soapy water and rub the ink stain. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth. Repeat if needed.
  • Mix 1 tsp of white vinegar with 1 cup of water and dab the solution onto the stain with a cloth. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth.
  • If the ink has set in, use a heavily diluted rubbing alcohol on the ink stain. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth.
  • For particularly stubborn stains, use a damp cloth dampened in a mixture of 1 part chlorine bleach and 4 parts water. Do not leave the bleach mixture for too long as it can damage the dryer drum.

When you are finished removing the stain, wipe the entire dryer drum down with a clean cloth to remove all traces of cleaner.
