How to Store Dill in the Refrigerator or Freezer

Dill is a fragrant and highly perishable herb known for its versatility in the kitchen. To keep it at its freshest, store dill in the refrigerator or freezer using the following steps.

Storing Dill in the Refrigerator

  1. Wash dill thoroughly in cold water after bringing it home from the grocery store.
  2. Dry completely with a paper towel.
  3. Look for a useable plastic container or resealable plastic bag.
  4. Place dill into the container and seal tightly.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Storing Dill in the Freezer

  1. Wash and dry dill.
  2. Place in a freezer-safe bag and remove as much air as possible.
  3. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
