Mixing Gas and Oil for a Weed Wacker
When using a weed wacker it is important to mix that gasoline with two-stroke oil correctly. Follow the instructions below to properly mix the gas and oil so the engine runs smoothly:
- Measure out the correct amount of oil and gas using the container provided or recommended.
- In a clean container, mix 1 gallon of gasoline and 4 ounces of two-stroke oil.
- Using the funnel, transfer the mixed gas and oil into the weed wacker's fuel tank.
- Start the weed wacker and allow it to run for several minutes. Check for any irregularities or signs that it is not running properly.
- Once it is running smoothly, you are ready to begin using your weed wacker.
Tips
- Make sure to use fresh gasoline in your weed whacker whenever possible, as gas that has been sitting for more than 2 months will not combust properly.
- Check the manufacturer's guide to be sure you are using the correct oil for your machine.
