Accessing Gmail with Mozilla Thunderbird
Mozilla Thunderbird is a powerful email client that can help you to manage and organize your Gmail inbox. Connecting your Gmail account to Thunderbird is an effective way to keep all of your emails in one place while taking advantage of all the features that Thunderbird has to offer.
Instructions
- Open Mozilla Thunderbird.
- In the upper right-hand corner, click the Gear icon and go to Account Settings.
- Under Account Actions, click Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, email address and password, then click Continue.
- If Thunderbird is able to automatically set up your account, it will show you the settings. If not, you will need to enter the information manually.
- The incoming server is imap.gmail.com.
- The outgoing server is smtp.gmail.com.
- When you're done, click Done.
- You should then be able to access your Gmail account from Mozilla Thunderbird.
