  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans or an 11x15x2-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well with a spatula.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, and mix with the spatula until all ingredients are incorporated.
  4. Stir in the boiling water last, mixing until the batter is smooth and creamy.
  5. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pans for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
