How to Use Your Phone As a Mic on Your PS4
Using your phone as a mic on your PS4 is a great way to add an extra layer of audio to your gaming experience. This guide will teach you the steps to connect your phone to your PS4 console and use your phone as a mic.
Steps
Download the Sony PlayStation App on your device. Make sure it’s compatible with the version of your console, as this will require that you have an iOS or Android device.
Once you have downloaded the app, connect your device to your console by using the same wireless network as the PS4.
Once your device is connected, open the PlayStation App, tap the ‘Connect to PS4’ icon, then select ‘Second Screen’.
On your PS4, select the ‘Settings’ icon, then select ‘Devices’, then select ‘Audio Devices’.
Under the ‘Input Device’ heading, select ‘Connect your Phone’ and authorize the device using your credentials from the PlayStation App.
Once connected, open the music section of your device’s app and start playing music through your phone. You should now be able to hear the music through your PS4 speakers.
To enable your phone as a mic, open the ‘Settings’ menu on your PS4 once again, select ‘Devices’, then select ‘Audio Devices’ and choose the ‘Input Device’ of your device.
