How to Sync a PS4 Controller on PC or Mac
If you are looking to connect your PS4 controller to your computer, you have come to the right place. Here are the steps to sync your PS4 controller with PC or Mac.
Step 1: Connecting the PS4 Controller
- Connect the PS4 controller to your computer using the USB cable.
- For Mac, you may have to install the PS4 controller driver first.
Step 2: Enabling Remote Play on PS4 Console
- Access your PS4 console's home screen.
- Navigate to the “Settings” and select “Remote Play Connection Settings.”
- Check that the “Enable Remote Play” box is ticked.
Step 3: Connecting Wirelessly
- Put your PS4 console in Rest Mode.
- On your computer, install and open the Remote Play app.
- Sign in with your PSN username and password.
- Your computer should detect your PS4 console.
Step 4: Connecting with Bluetooth
- Press and hold the PS and Share buttons on your controller until the light starts flashing.
- On your computer, open Bluetooth settings and search for “Wireless Controller.”
- When you find the controller, select it and enter the passkey 0000.
Step 5: Testing the Connection
- Once the connection is established, try pressing the PS button on your controller to check if it is working.
- If all goes well, the controller will sync with your computer.
