How to Stretch Your Biceps

Stretching your biceps can help improve flexibility, circulation, and range of motion. Be sure to warm-up with a few dynamic stretches and deep breaths before getting started. Follow these steps to effectively stretch your biceps:

  • Stand in a shoulder-width stance and extend your arms forward at shoulder level, making sure that your palms face downward.
  • Bend your arms halfway and reach towards your shoulders with your palms still facing the ground.
  • Using your other arm, straighten the elbow of the arm you want to stretch. Your palms should remain facing downward.
  • Press down with your free arm and move your elbow of the arm you are stretching in a wide circular motion across your body to the opposite side.
  • Continue the circular motion for about 8-12 reps depending on your tolerance.
  • Relax your arms and repeat the same movement on the opposite arm.

Remember to always keep your breathing even and controlled while stretching. If you experience any pain or discomfort, ease up and stop the stretch immediately. With regular stretching, you can improve your bicep flexibility and range of motion.
