How to Stop Steam From Automatically Opening on Startup
Steam is an invaluable software client to gamers around the world. It allows efficient performance for updates to games, access to libraries of games, and purchase of games. But at times, its auto-start feature can be quite annoying. Fortunately, it's easy to stop Steam from automatically opening on startup.
The Steps
- Open the Steam client on your desktop.
- In the top-left corner, click on Steam and then Settings.
- In the Settings window, click on the Interface tab.
- In the Interface tab, uncheck the box next to “Run Steam when my computer starts.”
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Steam will no longer automatically open on startup.
