Printing a Mirror Image

Are you looking to print your documents out in a mirror image? Mirror images can be created for both text and images, making them a great way to create unique prints for scrapbooking or origami projects. Here are the steps for printing a mirror image, step by step.

Step 1: Create a Mirror Image

Open the program or website that you plan to use to create an image or document. For this guide, we’ll be using a text document. Once you have your text ready, select the “Edit” tab from the toolbar. Scroll down the pull-down menu until you find the “Flip Horizontally” icon, shown below, and click it.

Step 2: Select Your Printer Preferences

Once you have the image and or document you wish to print set up, open the printer settings. Most printer settings can be accessed directly from the document window, as a small icon beside the print button. Alternatively, most printers have a “Print” tab in the Taskbar that can be clicked and used to open the settings window.

Step 3: Select Your Mirror Image Preferences

In the printer settings, scroll down the right-hand pane to the “Printer Features” tab. Inside this tab, select the “Mirror Image” option and save your changes. Once you’ve done this, you can proceed to print the document.

Step 4: Print the Mirror Image

Hit the “Print” button! You’ll need to place the page face down in the printer, or switch the orientation of the document. Now you have a bright, clear, and unique print!
