How to Clean a Smelly Mouse
If you have a smelly and dirty mouse, here are some DIY steps to get it back to its original clean and fresh condition.
Things You'll Need:
- Iron dust remover
- Clean cloth
- Compressed air
- Sterilizing wipes or cleaning solution
Steps:
- Turn the mouse upside down and tap it several times to shake off excess dust.
- Using iron dust remover, remove any stuck-on dirt and debris from the underneath of the mouse.
- Use a clean cloth to gently wipe away any dirt or residue from the shell or sensors.
- Clean the interior of the mouse using the compressed air, making sure to direct the air flow away from you and into the mouse.
- Use sterilizing wipes or cleaning solution to wipe the mouse body, avoiding use near the electronic ports.
- Once the mouse is clean, then you can repeat the cleaning process every few weeks to keep it free of odor and dirt.
