It's easy to give your Mac a custom look with the right background wallpaper. Here are two simple methods to customize your background wallpaper on your Mac:
Method 1: Using a Pre-Existing Image
Open up the System Preferences from your Dock. Alternatively, click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your menu bar and select System Preferences.
Select Desktop & Screen Saver.
Click Desktop and then click on the plus sign next to the left side of the word Folders.
Choose the image from your folder you'd like to use as your background image.
Once you've chosen the image, click Open to enjoy your new wallpaper.
Method 2: Download an Image as Your Wallpaper
Find an image you'd like to have as your background. You can search on a website such as Unsplash or browse from your Media Library.
Once you find the right image, click on it and select Save Image As.
Save the image to a destination you remember easily such as your Desktop.
Follow the instructions for Method 1 above, beginning with opening System Preferences from your Dock.
The image you just saved should be available in your list of clothing images.
Select the image and click Open to set it as your background wallpaper.

Using System Preferences
Open your System Preferences by clicking the Apple logo in the upper left corner of your screen and selecting System Preferences.
Once System Preferences is open, click the “Desktop & Screen Saver” icon.

Once you have selected the source of your desired wallpaper, simply double-click that wallpaper to set it as your desktop background.
Using an App Store App
Open the Mac App Store and search for a wallpaper customization app. Make sure the app has good reviews before downloading it.
Once you have selected an app to download, click the “Download” button and wait for the download to finish.
Once the download is complete, open the app and select the wallpaper you would like to use.
In the application’s settings, you can customize your wallpaper as desired.
After selecting the desired wallpaper and customization options, click the “Set Now” button to apply the wallpaper to your Mac.
