Export Your Contacts in Gmail

Exporting your contacts from Gmail is an easy process that will help you store your contacts in an easy-to-find location. Exporting your contacts is also a great way to keep a backup should any issues occur with your Gmail account. Here is how you can export your contacts with just a few steps:

  1. Log into your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the top left corner of the page, where it says Gmail.
  3. A drop-down menu will appear. Select “Contacts” from the list.
  4. Once you select Contacts, you will see a list of all of your contacts on the left side of the page.
  5. Next, click the “More” button and select “Export” from the drop-down menu.
  6. You will be given two different options: “Export” and “Export and Replace”. Choose “Export”.
  7. Gmail will then compile your contacts into a file and will automatically download it into your computer’s Downloads folder.

Your contacts are now safely stored in your computer’s Downloads folder. You can view the list of contacts in the file by opening it with the appropriate software.
