Checking Your Safari Search History
Safari is the default browser for Mac computers, iPhones, and iPads—and it keeps track of all the sites you’ve visited on each device, across the Apple ecosystem. Here’s how to check your Safari Search History on an Apple device:
Using a Mac/Laptop
If you’re using a MacBook, iMac, or other Apple computer, follow these steps to view your search history:
- Open the Safari browser.
- Click the “Safari” menu in the upper-left corner.
- Click “History” from the drop-down menu.
- A list of all visited webpages will appear, arranged by date.
- Click on any of the entries to expand the view.
Using an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch
At the bottom of the Safari app on your iOS device, you’ll find the History tab. To check your recent search history:
- Toggle over to the Bookmarks tab (bottom menu bar).
- Toggle over to the “History” folder.
- Browse your recent history.
- Tap a page to view more details, including the web address.
