Check Your Google History

Your Google history helps you quickly reference the websites you've visited in the past. Here are five simple ways to check your Google history:

  • Sign into your Google Account – The first step you'll need to take is signing into your Google Account. You can do this by visiting the Google Account page and entering in your login information.
  • Go to My Activity – After you've signed into your account, you'll need to access your My Activity page. You can do this by clicking the grid icon in the upper-right corner, then selecting “My activity” from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose Your Timeframe – On the My Activity page, you'll be able to choose which time period you'd like to check your history from. You can choose from the past hour, the past day, or the past few months.
  • Find Your History Entries – After you've selected your desired timeframe, your history entries from that timeframe will appear as clickable items. You can tap one of the items to be taken to the website.
  • Delete Entries – If you'd like to delete an entry from your history, you can do so by clicking the three-dot icon next to the entry. From there, you can choose to remove only that entry, or all entries from that website.

Check Your Google History Easily

Are you looking for simple ways to view your Google history? It can be helpful to look back at past searches to find information or resources you have looked at before. This article presents five easy steps to check your Google history.

Step 1: Log Into Your Google Account

Go to your Google account page and log in with the same credentials you use on other Google services. If you’re already logged in, you don’t need to do anything.

Step 2: Access "My Activity" in Your Google Account

Click on the drop-down menu found at the top right-hand corner of your account page. From here, choose "My Activity." This will bring you to a page dedicated to all user-generated content associated with your Google account.

Step 3: Click the "Search History" Section

On the left-hand side of the page, click on "Search History." This will display all of the searches you’ve made across Google.

Step 4: View the Entire History Timeline

If you want to view the entire timeline of Google searches, click the "About this Timeline" tab located at the top of the page. Here you can view all past Google searches—from the present day all the way back to the time you first used a Google service.

Step 5: Filter by Date and Type of Search

For more specific results, use the filters located at the top of the page. You can choose to view searches by date range, type of search (web, image, news, etc.), or locations. If a search result no longer exists, you will see a message that says "404 Not Found."
