Clear Your Instagram Cache & Search History
Keeping your Instagram account running smoothly requires occasionally clearing the app's cache and search history. Here are three easy ways to do just that:
Method 1: Using the Instagram App
- Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile icon.
- Tap on the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down window and tap on Settings.
- Tap the Security tab, located at the top of the screen.
- Tap the Clear Search History option.
- Tap the Clear All button to confirm that you want to delete your entire search history.
Method 2: Deleting All Cache Data
- Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile icon.
- Tap on the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down window and tap on Settings.
- Tap the Security tab, located at the top of the screen.
- Tap the Clear Cache option.
- Tap the Confirm button to delete all stored cache data.
Method 3: Disabling Search History
- Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile icon.
- Tap on the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the drop-down window and tap on Settings.
- Tap the Security tab, located at the top of the screen.
- Tap the Disable Search History option.
- Tap the Confirm button to disable your search history.
