  3. Once the salmon begins to sizzle, decrease heat to medium.
  4. Cook for 4 minutes without moving the fish.
  5. Using a thin spatula, carefully lift the edge of the fillet to check its doneness.
  6. The salmon is done when it is opaque and can easily be flaked apart.
  7. If not cooked to desired doneness, cook in 1-minute intervals until ready.
  8. Once cooked, transfer the salmon to a plate and serve.
