Disabling Guest Browsing on a Chromebook

A Chromebook is a laptop computer with a Chrome operating system. It is a lightweight, secure, and affordable way to get online and access apps, photos, documents, and more.

For some extra security on your Chromebook, you may want to disable guest browsing, which would prevent anyone with access to your Chromebook from using it without an account.

Instructions

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Click "People" in the left hand menu.
3. Scroll to the bottom and click "Manage other people."
4. Uncheck the checkbox next to "Enable guest browsing."
5. Click the "Done" button.

Guest browsing will now be disabled on your Chromebook, and anyone who tries to use your Chromebook will first need to sign in with their own account.
