Using the Print Screen Function on Your Keyboard

The print screen function on your keyboard can be a useful tool for capturing and saving screenshots of anything you see on your screen. This is an easy way to capture text, images, or any other content that you need to save for future use. Here's how to use the print screen function:

  • Locate the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard. This key is usually labeled “PrtScn” and may be located above or below the "Backspace" key.
  • Place your cursor on the page in which you want to capture a screenshot. If you want to capture a screenshot of your entire screen, make sure your cursor is outside of any active windows.
  • Press the "Print Screen" key and the Windows logo key simultaneously. This will capture a screenshot to your clipboard, meaning Windows has copied the image.
  • Open an image editor like Microsoft Paint. Paste your image into Paint by pressing the "Ctrl" and "V" keys. This will paste the image you've captured into the editor.
  • Save the image to your computer. In Paint, go to the menu bar and select "File" then "Save As." Choose the file format to save your image, such as JPEG or PNG. Give the file a name and click "OK.”

Your screenshot is now saved to your computer. You can open it and use it like any other image or file.
