If you have a newer Samsung Galaxy phone with a 5G network capability, disabling 5G is easy to do. Follow these simple steps to turn off 5G and go back to 4G on your device:

  • Open your “Settings” app on your Samsung device.
  • Scroll down and tap “Connections.”
  • Select “Mobile Networks” from the list of options.
  • Tap “Network Mode” and a list of available network options will appear.
  • Select the option “LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect).”
  • Once you select the option, a message will appear on the screen informing you that your connection is now 5G Disabled.
