How to Log In to a Netgear Router
Logging in to your Netgear router is important if you’d like to make changes to its configuration. It can be done easily in just a few steps:
- Find the “Default Gateway” IP address of your router. This can usually be found in the settings of your internet browser or by going to the command prompt and typing “ipconfig.”
- Open up your internet browser and type the IP address of your router into the address bar. This will take you to the log-in page for the router.
- Type in the username and password for the router. By default, Netgear routers use “admin” as the username and “password” as the password. However, it’s possible that the router has been configured with a new username and password.
- Click “login” to log in to the router. You will now have access to any settings or configuration options that are available on the router.
Once you have logged in to the router, be sure to save any changes you have made before exiting the interface.
