How to Clean Burners on a Stove

Stove burners can accumulate food and grease, making them difficult to clean. You can start by manually removing any large food chunks or debris before tackling the grease and grime. Utilizing a few household materials, you can quickly get the burners looking like new!

Steps:

  • Turn off the stove. Before you begin, make sure you disconnect the stove’s power source.
  • Scrape off any large pieces of food. To do so, use a spatula or a butter knife—but be careful to avoid using any metal tools, which could scrape or damage the burner.
  • Mix together a cleaning solution. In a bowl or bucket, mix together a few tablespoons of baking soda and enough hot water to create a mild cleaning solution with a paste-like consistency.
  • Dip a rag or towel into the solution and scrub the stove burners. Move your rag or towel in a circular motion until all debris is gone.
  • Wash off the baking soda solution and dry the burners. Using a damp rag or towel, wash off the baking soda solution. Then, dry off the burners using another rag or towel.

You're done! Now that your burners are clean, you're ready to start cooking up another delicious meal.
