Adding Private Labels to Google Maps on Mac or Windows

With Google Maps, you can add your own private labels to maps. Whether you're on a Mac or Windows PC, the process is the same. Here's how.

  1. Open the Google Maps website on your browser. You can find the page at https://maps.google.com/.
  2. Look for the Google Maps search bar and type the location for which you would like to add a label. This can be an address, place, or country.
  3. Once you find the desired location, right-click it on the map. This will open a menu.
  4. Select the ‘What’s here?’ option from the menu.
  5. From the ‘What’s here?’ panel, select the ‘Label this place’ option.
  6. Enter the label that you would like to add in the ‘Label’ text box.
  7. Once you're done, hit the ‘Add label’ button.

Now, you can easily identify the location by its label. The private labels are saved in your Google Maps account, so you can view them whenever you open the application.
