Removing Deodorant Build-Up from Clothing
So you got a bit of deodorant on your favorite shirt – no worries, it happens to everyone! Luckily, there are simple solutions that can help you clean off the residue and get your shirt looking fresh and new again.
Here's what you'll need:
- Paper towels
- Baking soda
- Laundry detergent
- Vinegar
- Borax
Now, follow these steps to remove your deodorant stains:
- Gently blot the stained area with paper towels to remove as much of the visible deodorant as possible.
- Mix a paste of baking soda and water, and apply it to the stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then blot away the paste with a damp cloth.
- If the stain is still present, mix a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Apply the mixture to the stain and let it sit for several minutes, then rinse with cold water.
- If the stain remains, mix a solution of one tablespoon Borax and one cup of warm water. Apply it to the stain, and allow it to sit for several minutes. Rinse with cold water.
- If the stain still persists, wash the item with a laundry detergent formulated for removing stains. Allow the item to air dry.
And there you have it – your garment should be looking as good as new! Just remember to never put the item in the dryer until you’re certain that the stain has been completely removed.
