In this case, best advice is to be evaluated by a properly trained medical provider as soon as possible. Hot to touch and increased pain are potential signs for infection. Delay in treatment could result in infection moving to blood (called bacteremia), which could result in very serious consequences, severe illness/hospitalization or even death.
