- Atomic radius decreases from Sc to Zn
- This is because of an increase in atomic number (number of protons ) in the nucleus/nuclear charge. Increased nuclear charge pulls the electron cloud more strongly towards the nucleus making the atoms with the same number of shells shrink across the series.
