Creating a Screencast on Linux

A screencast is a digital recording of what is displayed on the computer screen, like a video or document. It is similar to a tutorial or a demonstration. Creating a screencast on Linux can be a useful way to show someone a presentation or showcase a new application. Here is how to do it:

  2. Launch the screen recording application.
  3. Open the settings tab and customise the preferences. Adjust the size, format, and quality of the video.
  4. Select the window or area you want to record.
  5. Click the record button or press the keyboard shortcut to initiate the recording.
  6. When you are done, click the stop button or the keyboard shortcut to end the recording. This will save the screencast to the video file format you specified in the settings.
