Updating the Xbox App on Windows 10
An updated Xbox app can provide the latest features for playing games, connecting with friends, and managing your account. If you're a Windows 10 user, there are two ways to ensure your Xbox app is up to date.
Method 1: Automatic Updates
- Open the Windows 10 Settings by pressing the Windows and I keys. Alternatively, you can click the Start menu and select Settings from the list.
- In the Settings menu, select Update & Security.
- Under the Windows Update category, select Check for updates. Windows will automatically search for any available updates.
- Ensure that the Xbox app is in the list of available updates, then select Install to begin the updating process.
- Once the install is complete, select the Restart Now option. This will restart your computer and finish updating the Xbox app.
Method 2: Manually Search for Updates
- Open the Windows 10 Store by pressing the Windows and S keys. Type "Store" into the search bar, then select the Microsoft Store app.
- Sign in using the account associated with your Xbox app. If you're already signed in, verify that the account displayed is the one associated with your Xbox app.
- In the search bar at the top of the store, type in "Xbox" and select the Xbox app.
- On the app page, select the More Options menu (denoted by 3 dots) and select Updates.
- If there is an update available, select Download. Once the update is complete, the Xbox app will be up to date.
