How to Send a Message from a Facebook Page

As a page admin, it is possible to send a message directly to a Facebook user’s inbox. Messaging must first be enabled on the page before you are able to send or receive messages. Once that has been enabled, follow these steps to send a message from your Facebook page.

• Navigate to the page you would like to send the message from.
• Click ‘Message’ at the top of the page.
• Type in the name of the individual you’d like to message in the search bar, then select them from the drop-down menu.
• Add any additional individuals who should receive the message.
• Type out your message.
• Click ‘Send’.

Your message should be sent and the individual will receive it in their inbox. It is important to remember, page admins have the ability to respond to incoming messages but not initiate them.

Turning on Messaging for Pages

If messaging has not been enabled on your page, follow these steps to do so.

• Navigate to your page.
• Click ‘Settings’ at the top.
• In the left column, click ‘Messaging’.
• Switch the setting from off to on.
• Click ‘Save’.

Messaging should now be enabled on your page. This allows page admins to respond to messages as well as send out messages to a broad group of individuals.

4. Look for the 'Allow people to contact my Page privately by showing the Message button' option.
5. Toggle the button on this option to turn on messaging.
6. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Once messaging is enabled, visitors to your Page can send direct messages using the Message button or by default by clicking the Message link. Now it's easy to stay in touch with your customers and followers through your Page!
