If you're having trouble with your PlayStation 5 controller, resetting it may help you get back to gaming. Here are the steps to easily reset any PS5 controller:

  1. Turn the controller off. Press and hold the PlayStation button for a few seconds until the light on the top of the controller turns off.
  2. Turn the controller back on. Press and hold the PlayStation button and the Share button at the same time until the white-lit light bar appears on the controller.
  3. Open the “Settings” menu. From the home screen, select “Settings,” then “Devices,” and then “Bluetooth Devices.”
  4. Select the controller. Your controller should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices. Click on it and select “Forget Device.”
  5. Reset the controller. When the controller is disconnected from the console, press and hold the PlayStation button and the Share button simultaneously for three seconds. This will reset the controller.
